FAQ
Which grapple fits your machine and your job?
We specify the recommended machine weight or crane size for each grapple, so you can easily choose the right size. We have suitable grapples for most jobs. If you do a bit of everything and don’t want to switch between tools too often, we recommend taking a look at our 5-finger grapples in the GRX series.
Which grapple is suitable for an excavator?
Intermercato has a wide range of grapples designed specifically for excavators. Our GRX series includes sorting grapples, 4-, 5- and 7-finger grapples, universal grapples and timber grapples with excavator bodies and extra reinforcements. We also offer cutting grapples and grapple saws for excavators.
Which grapple is best for forestry work?
Which grapple is suitable for stone handling and sorting?
Our GRX EG grab works perfectly for sorting. Also take a look at our 5-finger grapples in the GRX series, which are often used for both sorting and stone handling.
What is a check valve?
A check valve prevents grabbed objects from falling in the event of a hose rupture or pressure drop. The grapple remains closed even if the operator accidentally activates other hydraulic functions on the machine, such as the tiltrotator. The check valve enables safer and more precise handling during demolition or sorting.
